The Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund Program (BSTF) Job Creation funds are awarded to local and tribal governments in the form of grants or loans to assist basic sector businesses in creating good paying jobs for Montana residents. This typically entails a minimum of 170% of the current minimum wage in Montana. Also, the amount award for each job created changes based on the designation of the county.
Maximum Award Amount
High-poverty counties: Up to $7,500 for each eligible job created.
Non-poverty counties: Up to $5,000 for each eligible job created.
