MDT administers federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for implementing behavioral programs aimed at improving traffic safety. The grants address impaired driving, occupant protection, and child passenger safety with an emphasis on improving traffic safety through education and enforcement.
